My interest in the James H Barry Press started with my purchase of two volumes (1911, and 1921) of the "Story of the California Legislature". It was probably a year later that a publication of the James H Barry Press, caught my attention. I had read an article about Christopher Evans, and the article mentioned that he had written a novel called "Eurasia." That same day I went to several booksellers in San Francisco, and inquired about the book. At one bookstore I was first told the book was a ghost (referred to in an article, but doesn't exist), and later they found that two copies existed on microfiche, one in New York, and the other in Kansas. Later that weekend I looked for the book online at the Library of Congress, and then at the California State Libraries web site, and found that the California State Library has a copy, and that the publisher was James H.
