The Court of the Universe, inspired by Bernini's entrance court to St. Peter's in Rome, with the Roman Arch of the rising sun surmounted by the sculptured group. "The Nations of the East," the colonnade, with two rows of columns, is decorated with Calder's star-figure, duplicated in a row, and with Albert Weinmann's two fountains in the Sunken Garden, the figures on top symbolizing "The Rising Sun" and "The Setting Sun." |
