The Palace of Machinery shows the trend of modern industry at a glance. The absence of belts and shafts, the silent operation of the machines and the clean-cut appearance of the installations are significant indications of the reasons why electric motors were chosen for this work.

Thousands of the General Electric Company's products are utilized in this manner throughout the Exhibit Palaces.
