Night view of the Palace of Horticulture, with Arthur Putnam's "Mermaid Fountain." The motive in the great dome of glass is many times repeated in smaller domes of glass and lattice work. The architecture, rich in ornamentation, is French, though the dome comes from the Mosque of Ahmed, the first, in Constantinople.
